Tartaul de Salcie village is situated in the south-west of the Republic of Moldova, 160 km from the capital of the Republic - Chisinau and 23 km from Kagul. In the western village stretches Height Tigheciului on foot southerly winds which river Salcia Mica, left tributary of the river which flows Salcia in Ialpug. On the south of the village pass an important artery of communication - the route Chisinau - Cahul. The village, in the administration, is included in Cahul district and village with Tudoresti common form Tartaul de Salcie.
